Judge denies motion for reduction of bail

Judge Theresa S. DiMauro denied a motion made by attorney Sandra A. Nelson on behalf of her client, Jon Gassert Jr., 18, of Springfield, to reduce Gassert's bail from $25,000 to $100 and release him into the custody of his mother, Lisa Hill, of Chester. Gassert is accused of setting a fire that left 40 Springfield residents homeless.
