Landers, 31; Stephan M. Cota, 22; Nicholle Hearne, 25; and Mary Ann Garfield, 23, all of Springfield, have all been arraigned in White River Junction District Court on charges related to the attempted robbery of an Olive Street residence March 23. The arraignments bring the total number to five and follow Christopher L. Molina, 20, of Springfield, who pleaded innocent March 30 in White River Junction District Court to felony charges of attempted assault and robbery, and cocaine delivery. • According to numerous affidavits filed with the court, Landers, Cota and Molina hatched a plan to rob Harley Gliddings, 25, of cash and OxyContin. The plan called for Cota — a friend of Gliddings — to go to Gliddings' house and ask if he could buy some pills, affidavits state. • Gliddings told police Cota, along with Cota's girlfriend, Hearne, came to his apartment to buy some pills, but Gliddings said no, records state. After meeting with Gliddings, Cota and Hearne left, and as they drove down Olive Street they encountered a car driven by Garfield with passengers Landers and Molina, according to affidavits. • Cota told the three that Gliddings was holding drugs and cash and they continued on to Gliddings' apartment, where Molina and Landers got out of the car, Molina holding a Taser and Landers holding a Smith and Wesson .357, and demanded the goods, records state. • Gliddings, who was outside, ran to his apartment door, pursued by Landers and Molina, who were wearing masks, and as Gliddings entered his kitchen, where his girlfriend and 3-year-old son were standing, Landers tried to push his way in, affidavits state. Gliddings and Landers struggled for the gun while Landers threatened to kill the woman and child if they didn't stop screaming, records state. • Landers fled the scene alone because Molina had already run off and tossed the gun in the woods behind the Springfield Police Station before returning to Molina's Wall Street apartment, where he met Molina and Cota, who came looking for his cut, affidavits state. • Garfield, Cota and Hearne are all facing felony charges of aiding in the commission of a felony. Garfield, along with Landers, who is facing felony charges of attempted assault and robbery with a weapon, burglary of an occupied dwelling and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, pleaded innocent to the charges on Monday. Garfield is free on $10,000 bail, while Landers is being held on the same bail amount in • Springfield prison. • Cota and Hearne pleaded innocent Wednesday and are free on $10,000 bail. •
