http://www.rutlandherald.com/article/20100410/THISJUSTIN/4100354 # # # # Overdue library books get amnesty • Rutland Herald • Published: April 10, 2010 • SPRINGFIELD — Residents can finally return those overdue library books during Amnesty Week, Sunday through Saturday at the Springfield Town Library. • There will be no fines for any materials returned during the week, no matter how overdue the materials might be. • The library is also offering a 50 percent discount on all pre-existing balances for borrowers who clear up past charges. The only exception will be the $10 fee if an account has been referred to a collection agency. • Also, Monday is Patron Appreciation Day, with library staff offering baked goods and prizes for children. • For more information, call the library at 885-3108. •
