I did not see the accident actually happen, but live across the street. The car involved actually drove up over part of our front lawn. Overheard driver saying to the police that while going down Furnace Street in Springfield, he lost his brakes. The car took out a lilac tree on the neighbor's front walkway and then hit the power line pole next to their house. The power line pole is cracked from the impact and CVPS is having to come •
