Road rage arrest on Interstate 91

A reported road rage incident on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro led to the arrest of a Corinth, Vermont man Thursday night in Springfield.


http://www.sentinelsource.com/articles/2010/06/25/news/police_blotter/free/id_404780.txt # # # # Man accused of waving gun at driver  •  By Keene Sentinel Staff Published: Friday, June 25, 2010  •  BRATTLEBORO — A reported road rage incident on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro led to the arrest of a Vermont man Thursday night.  •  Ronald Pierce, 47, of Corinth, Vt., faces charges of disorderly conduct, careless and negligent operation of a motor vehicle and providing false information to a police officer.  •  A tractor-trailer driver called Vermont State Police to say he was northbound on I-91 when a motorist who passed him displayed a handgun, according to a news release from state police.  •  When police stopped Pierce’s car on I-91 in Springfield, Vt., they said he told them there had been an incident involving the tractor-trailer, according to the release. Pierce thought the truck was being driven unsafely, and when he passed it, he held his handgun out the window, police said. Pierce initially told police he didn’t show the gun, according to the release.  •  He was issued a citation to appear in Windham District Court.  •
