SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Some Vermont lawmakers say they will try to get a matching state tax credit for a North Springfield business that installed solar panels but lost out on the tax credits.
To get the tax credit, IVEK Corporation needed to complete the 936-panel solar array in 2010. But IVEK President Mark Tanny says that at the last minute the Legislature decided to require another form for the tax credits which was due July 31, but the company was never told.
The Eagle Times in Claremont, N.H., says Springfield Rep. Alice Emmons says she and other local legislators will try to fix the problem when they return to the Statehouse in January.
IVEK Corporation designs and manufactures precision liquid metering and dispensing systems and employs 66 people in North Springfield.
