Springfield is mirroring a nationwide effort to get March 30 set aside for Vietnam veterans - the date on which American combat forces completed their withdrawal from South Vietnam.

Town reservoir sale provokes discussion

There were more questions and spirited discussion Monday night at the Springfield town meeting about the proposal to sell the town-owned reservoir in Weathersfield than either the $25.4 million school budget or the $9.5 million town budget.

Two-by-four used to threaten women

A Springfield man threatened two women in Cornish, NH with a two-by-four, and then assaulted a man, police said.
