VFW Gold Medal Award for Law Enforcement Personnel

On Tuesday, May 25th, members of Robert L. Johnson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 771 of Springfield presented Senior Trooper Jonathan J Graham with a plaque recognizing him as an outstanding Law Enforcement Personnel.

Town plans upgrade for area playground

A small, run-down playground next to the Westview housing project will be getting some attention in coming weeks. The town agreed to work on the playground because no one is sure who owns it, said Public Works Director Harry Henderson

Book sale a great success

On Saturday, May 22, the North School Preservation Society held a benefit book sale for the society's cause of preserving the North School building and playground. The sale was well attended, and we raised over $400.
