Fuller shuts down Windsor
BASEBALL
Springfield 12, Windsor 2
SPRINGFIELD — Windsor came into the game 2-0, but ran into a sterling pitching performance by Geoff Fuller. The right-hander tossed a complete-game victory. He threw 102 pitches, scattered six hits, struck out six and walked four.
Noah Johnson took the loss.
Eric White (three hits, an RBI and two runs scored) and Brandon Langhan (two hits, three RBI) led Springfield at the plate. John Crowley also delivered a big hit for the 1-2 Cosmos.
Kyle Cushing had two hits and Win Townsend a hit and two RBI to lead Windsor.
The Yellow Jackets had the bases loaded in the third, but Springfield left fielder Aaron Wallace extinguished the threat with a nice running over-the-shoulder catch.
The Cosmos will try to make it two in a row on Tuesday by hosting Green Mountain.
