Longest serving principal in years leads SHS out of decline

Springfield High School Principal Bob Thibault was all smiles Wednesday. It was the first day of classes for the incoming class of 2017 and faculty and staff were out front of the main building applauding their arrival.

Thibault and McLaughlin are a great team. We are very lucky to have them. Here is hoping they stay around.

  4. Thibault has made poor decisions, and if you actually pay attention when watching the meetings, obviously gets what he wants from the board, and knows how to talk the talk. The school has not drastically improved and what improvement the test scores have reflected, has been from classes that didn't experience his new changes. He is full of himself and has everyone in his pocket. Talk to the students and see if they are happier to go to school now, and if they are, why?

  5. This last entry sounds like one of the few teachers who haven't bought into the program. As a student at the HS, Mr. Thibault has done wonders for the school and I'm not in his pocket. As a senior, I have seen many good changes during my years here in Springfield. The biggest one is that teachers are now be held accountable for what they teach us.
