  1. Good job, people! Now you've got a "high risk sex offender" wandering the streets homeless. That really makes me feel safe.

  2. If you READ the article, he is in COLCHESTER. Not Springfield.

    1. Regardless, he's back in VT not in CA.

  3. Colchester today, Springfield tomorrow. The California story was likely a ruse anyway, just to try to calm fears so that the system could spit him out without much public dissent.

  4. Where's Bernnie? Where's Alice Emmons? Where's Dick McCormack? Oh, that's right Timothy Szad being a homosexual, gay man, is no doubt a card carrying liberal now sustaining himself off the welfare roles. Wouldn't want their voter base leaving the state.

This comment doesn't make sense. What would you have Bernie, Emmons or McCormack do? Hunt him down vigilante style? Everyone's angry/disappointed that this sick man didn't get life behind bars, save your eloquent critic of "liberal" politics for Storm Front, Machinist. The worst thing about this story is that it received so much press. Hopefully the family and the young man hurt have salvaged some form of peace over the last 12 years.

  6. Machinist's point was that Bernie, Dick, and Alice will never raise a finger to legislate to protect society from such disgusting threats. Their politics enable such behavior.

    1. Well, if you are going to label him use the correct one please. He is a pedophile.

  7. Alice Emmons has specifically spoken out against a Civil Commitment law of the type existing in most states (however not in Vermont) which aim to protect potential targets. Ms Emmons seems to feel it is more important to protect the potential predator. There is a video posted somewhere on this site where she herself speaks. It's worth watching.

    1. She has the typical progressive liberal attitude toward offenders.
