Sister sues brother over future of NH restaurant Eagle Times / August 29, 2013 1 Boston.com CLAREMONT, N.H. (AP) — A family feud over a now-closed restaurant in Claremont, N.H., has resulted in a lawsuit. The Eagle Times reports (http://bit.ly/1dSz38r) Debra Holl recently filed the lawsuit in Sullivan County Superior Court in Newport. She says her brother and business partner, Michael Holl, has run BJ Bricker’s into the ground, with plans to sell it out from under her. The Washington Street restaurant shut down this week. Michael Holl declined to comment. The Holls, of Springfield, Vt., inherited the business when their mother, Gertrude Holl, died in 2008. In her lawsuit, Debra Holl says she signed over power-of-attorney to her brother in December, when she checked into a hospital for an undisclosed illness; she was released in March. She says she wants to stop her brother from selling the business. ___ Information from: Eagle Times, http://www.eagletimes.com
Too bad. Ate there a few times, it was ok. But one time, we walked in and a woman was slumped over the computer keyboard just near the bar. We were told it's ok, it's the owner..... Wow. Guess this outcome shouldn't be surprising.
ReplyDeleteThat's why she was in the hospital, unfit to run the business, the brother tried helping her out, as his name is the one on everything just to find out she ran the place so far into the ground he had to dig in his own pockets just to keep the place afloat! now that he got it out of the ditch, she wants it back...without paying him back his money...wow!! go figure, he's not giving it back without a fight.
ReplyDeletewow guess he hides it better than her and her other brother that was ousted from the will all hail mike staple of the community
