A Springfield man was in court recently after being stunned with a Taser earlier in the day as he fought with police in his kitchen, sending one officer to the hospital.

    1. HEPA? Isn't that an air filter on vacuum cleaners? I believe you mean HIPPA.

  2. So much for our wonderfully expensive mental health system. We have some people committing crimes in order to get arrested before they hurt someone. HCRS is a frigging joke, and the State system isn't much better.

  4. In other news from Springfield, machine tool orders remained nonexistent, but local economists speculated that the annual increases in mental health cases and an expanding prison populations may yet lead the town to that "pot o' gold" at the end of the rainbow!

    1. Yessiree, Springfield reinvented as a rehabilitation for profit city. Why I feel elated with the progress we have made with all the entrepeneurs at HCRS just coming up with more and more customers to rehabilitate. I understand that in order to reduce expenses they have come up with a portable shock therapy machine thingy for the police to carry around, you just keep shocking them until a bed opens up. Its just amazing what the inventive spirit provides here during austere times in Springfield. Now if they could just get that five star restaurant rebuilt there near the plaza so I and my fellows could contemplate the mysteries of life over a cup of coffee things will be just fine. Why I love to just sit there and watch the traders make deals in the parking lot -- good ole American spirit there with the good ole boys makin a little money on the side in our first rate black market. It just makes the heart swell with pride it does.

    2. as a side note re the 5 star choke-and-puke--isn't it supposed to be a smaller building than the old one; looks like a two story structure to me (must be the architect(?) studied math at Spfld h.s.

  5. Mea Culpa to Anonymous 8pm and 8:06pm. I looked it up and it actually is HIPAA.
Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act. What I was referring to was the diagnosis the mental health clinician gave to the newspaper reporter.
