  1. Sure hope they catch the little rascal so he can be remanded to a good reform program by the state's judicial system! And can we please get that mural on the wall of the building two doors down from this crime completed quickly so that the town can feel better about itself and put crimes like this one behind it?

    2. Dear 4:13.... Sarcasm much? Let me translate: The court system is going to let the little bastard out as soon as he gets in. The mural - just another example of 'feel good' crap from town government instead of actually fixing something, like the roads!!! End of lesson.

    3. Hey 4:13, until proven guilty, he "ALLEGEDLY" pointed a gun... For all you know, it could have been a stale pastry mistaken for a gun. Now go touch up that clown make-up of yours!

  2. Ah, home crap home. Springfield is just unable to pull out of this downward spiral. Kind of sad actually. If the offender is caught, he will just get a slap on the wrist and be sent on his way. Sad, sad, sad state of affairs.

  6. Unless this town gets rid of all the things that attract these scums then its only going to get worse before all that is left are the criminals!
HCRS has a mental health office
HCRS has a crisis walk in clinic
Also, "residential" housing for HCRS clients in normal neighborhoods, one is off Elm Hill Rd.
There is also a crisis team available at the ER for those who end up there which is quite often.
Oh dont forget about the halfway house, "warming shelter" and welfare/probation office.
What type of people are going to hang in this town with all those things? Its a breeding ground for scum...
The landlords in this town rent to these drug dealers and users, why cant the town get on them to clean up their places? We all know the trouble spots and nothing ever gets done!

  7. @ 7:28, you forgot the U-Turning Point. Now with warmer weather, there is a frequent presence of desperate derelicts loitering throughout the neighborhood. Think not? Go look for yourself.

Here is an exercise that is very telling. While standing in line close to other local residents at most any random, local, venue, or even a park bench on Main Street, give each person a hard look. Now imagine you are a Fortune 500 executive forced to land at Spfld for repairs. You have decided to tour the town seeing if a viable workforce and desirable neighborhoods that would justify locating a new facility. Suspect within moments the answer becomes obvious.

Anyone with the means to escape this rat hole has already done so, and no one in their right mind would move here to raise a family, with the popular exception of easy welfare and disability.

There is a solution, but with Spfld now having a critical mass of liberals and parasites that vote, it is unlike to change.

  8. Here it is folks! Can anyone connect the dots yet???? Did we not say this was going to become worse quick? This marks when all need to realize this town is headed straight for hell.....and soon it will be a place where you cannot rely on raising a good generation. Drugs are Satan himself.....here to corrupt souls, ruin lives and make pleasurable living impossible. TIME TO MOVE!!!!! VERMONT does not shine the beautiful meaning anymore. It has been exploited and robbed from us who's hearts and souls felt comfort residing in this state. I am truly heartbroken.

  9. But the Select Board is working strenuously to make the bike path extension a reality, which I'm sure will impress any CEO that accidentally drops into town! Perhaps they should write to TESLA CEO Elon Musk and let him know that the town is serious about extending the bike path. It may help sway him in choosing Springfield as the site for his new battery manufacturing plant!

    1. Yes, make it a law that everyone must carry a fire arm. That includes: grannies, teens, the guy who walks up and down the street signing out loud (poorly), the guy with the weird face tattoo, and the parking enforcement guy. If everyone had a gun no one would do anything wrong. Give everyone a weapon that should solve the problem.
