Springfield Police Seek Restaurant Robbery Suspect Staff Report Sunday, April 27, 2014 (Published in print: Sunday, April 27, 2014) Springfield, Vt. — Springfield Police are looking for a man they suspect held up a Main Street restaurant with a semi-automatic handgun last week. In a request to the public for information about the armed robbery last Wednesday afternoon, police described the suspect as a slightly built white man between the ages of 19 and 29, with dark, buzz-cut hair, acne on his face, wearing “saggy blue jeans and a red, pullover hooded sweatshirt with an Ecko-brand logo and white lettering and a bear emblem.” The police report added that the suspect was “in the Springfield area between 2:40 and 3:15 p.m. and may be exhibiting signs of addiction or financial despair.” Police are encouraging anyone with information to share about the incident or the suspect to call 802-885-2113.
It's obvious now that with TWO DUNKIN' DONUTS strategically located north and south of Main Street, SPD is now too distracted to effectively patrol the town's center!
