By Stephanie Thompson, Executive Director The Springfield Family Center again offered its Lunch at Home program to children during April school vacation. The program went very smoothly thanks to the help from the volunteers with preparing the daily meals. Thank you to Springfield High School students Siera Lavin, Cameron Blais, Ashley Coulombe, Brooke Goodwin and Seth Gammon for all of their help. Thank you to the Child Care Providers Network for their donations and for members Holly Cole and Fran Thompson’s assistance with meal preparation as well. We are looking for volunteers to help with our Summer Lunch at Home program beginning in June. To help out, call Stephanie at (802) 885-3646 ext. 210. Thank you to all who helped us with our 2014 Feinstein Challenge. With food and monetary donations dedicated to the campaign, we raised $5,648, which we have submitted for a match of funds! Once again, the Springfield Dam Run held May 4 was a great success. Thank you to all the sponsors, donors, organizers, volunteers and participants. It is a huge benefit event for our organization and a great event we look forward to each year!
