CHESTER, Vt. -
Police say four people are behind more than a dozen burglaries in and around Chester.
Investigators say Michael Farnsworth, 26, along with his father, David Farnsworth, 59, Zachary McNeill, 23, and Paige Hillock, 24, all of Springfield, were behind at least 20 break-ins since the fall.
Police say the suspects would sell the stolen items to get cash to buy drugs.
More charges are expected.
Police say about $40,000 in stolen property was recovered. They're asking anyone who recently had property stolen in the Chester area to file a police report so they can return those items.

Are any of these related to the farnsworth at thr springfield schools
ReplyDeleteAn interesting point here is that although the number of non-ETOH (alcohol) abusers is small compared to the number of alcoholics, the amount of crime that they engage in to feed their habit is way out of proportion. If we get rid of the profit motive that makes banned substances so expensive and treat the users the way we treat alcoholics, we would see this sort of problem virtually disappear.
ReplyDeleteBroken record...broken record...broken record.........................
ReplyDeleteThese individuals lack character. If not plundering innocent victims to support a drug habit, they'd likely be doing so for other degenerate reasons. Their removal from society for a good number of years is their just reward.
It's time to bring the rock piles back to our prisons and let these vermin spend their days truly chipping away at some hard time!
They are innocent until proven guilty. If it looks like scum, smells like scum, it mat not be scum.
DeleteBut it probably is scum. And when ultimately determine to be that scum by the justice system, there should be absolutely no leniency. Hard time, hard labor, hard consequences.
DeleteHope they got a good t day dinner yesterday. With the holidays coming up they should be back at home with just a slap on the wrist. The State will reform them.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make a reasonable assumption that with the dozens of burglaries perpetrated by Micheal Farnsworth he has drawn the ire of at least a couple men that will be helping him to permanently cure his addiction. Interesting how things like this have a way of working themselves out.
ReplyDeleteYa, like the guys that didn't get paid for the substances obtained.
DeleteWow. David was always quiet. He's a vet of the Gulf War - did a lot of time with the Army.
ReplyDeleteWith any luck, he will be doing a lot more "time". This guy has been a menace for sometime now. He needs some time for reflection.
DeleteYeah Michael is a POS, I'm not surprised, but the father I am surprised by! Oh well, hopefully they will get what they deserve.
ReplyDeleteSlap on the wrist, just because it's the holidays???? Makes no sense at all!!! These individuals have been in and out of jail for a number of years for drugs, robbery, and who knows what else. It's time they learn a lesson and get what they deserve from the justice system.
