Video: One man's tax struggle with the Town

Springfield property owner Len Emery says in this video that he would rather burn his house to the ground than have the town take his property for being 3 weeks late on the last tax payment.

  1. Finally someone is speaking out! Springfield has a lot of corruption and shady practices. For instance, the lawyer advising the town to move as quickly as possible is also the one who earns $500+ each time the town follows his advice.
I hope you continue your fight- with the town and the traffic! Too many officers in this town seem to think they don't have to obey the laws- turning on sirens just to get through lights, not stopping at crosswalks, and more.
It's a shame and I wish you luck!

  2. Let's see the actual letter from the town before assumptions can be made.

  3. Springfield has a whole bunch of losers in seats of control there! They know nothing about being fair, for them it's about getting their way now that they have some power, and they abuse that power. People who abuse their powers need to be immediately removed from their seats, you cannot let their cancer spread.

Len, your absolutely right about how abusive our almost broke government officials have become. Many of our famous forefathers have stated that a revolution is an essential cleansing for a country, those are words dear to my heart!

  4. I am pretty sure if you burn your house down. It would still be considered arson. I can't wait to buy this house for a dollar!!!!

  5. United We Stand. I am not paying my taxes. I never will again. If we all do this, who do you think is gonna win? We will all remain United, the Town will get on fine, BUT those who Failed and OVER TAXED and OVER ASSESSED our properties will be gone. I VOTE FOR A NEW ASSESMENT. Got Questions?.
