Stubborn historic bridge won't go easily

Crowds who gathered in Springfield were disappointed when construction crews could not remove a historic bridge at the Fellows Gear Shaper Company on Wednesday.

  2. The title should read.."People who actually work disapointed at parasites watching other people work."
I was driving from my office to my house and saw what looked like the start of a parade. There were people in front of MA-PA apartments with big umbrellas, coolers with beer in them and lawn chairs at 330PM. None of them were out looking for work. Kinda sad. Dont tell me there are no jobs out there, I see a sign hanging at PVC looking for help, I left my old job to start a new career about a month ago. Start looking people, stop sitting on your a$$

  5. Actually there were a few of us getting paid to watch those other people work that day! Don't get all jealous that you don't have a sweet job like us!

if you are witness to a crime and choose not to do anything about it, you too are guilty of that crime.
I believe you maybe adding humor here, and I like that.. Thank you.
But THE GOLD COLLAR CRIME and enviromental catastrophy you say you got paid to watch makes ME wonder WHO YOU ARE? Clearly you are playing both sides of the coin.
The problem with this is that YOU are leading by example, don't allow others to think this is a good thing for Springfield.
Most of what took place to create this article IS NOT O.K.
Re-development with other peoples money should be done to best practice and follow strict environmental safety guidlines.
I bet they get more money from the recycling center from the old bridge then the money it took to purchase the new one. CLEARLY the money on Labor and Engineering and Managment was blown.
Who is the head foreman on this one anyway? What are the people who did this names?
(follow the money) it leads to facism

  7. Of course I was getting paid to sit there! I get a check each month like you do! Just because mine is Government issued and has the word welfare on it doesn't mean I didn't work hard to get it! There is a lot of paper work involved!
