For those who have never experienced flying in to KVSF (a.k.a. Hartness State Airport), here's how it looks coming in for a landing over the village of North Springfield; and taxiing down the runway.

We landed at at the Hartness State Airport in Springfield, Vermont (home of the Simpsons) to check the weather and see if there was anywhere clear for us to work. This place it tucked in to the mountains a little bit. The winds were gusty directly out of the west which made this a bit of a tricky landing. Lots of turbulence and some wind sheer on the approach as well. I put the ASOS on the speaker after we landed so you can hear the weather conditions. I can't remember what it was but do remember thinking it sure seemed worse than that.
I've got the landing and then back taxi on the runway and over to the FBO on this video. There are no taxiways at KVSF.
Going back out of here on runway 5 would be no fun at all if you lost an engine. There's mountains all over the place and not many options.
We looked but we couldn't find Homer or Bart anywhere.
