NORTH SPRINGFIELD — The committal service for Barbara J. Forguites who died Jan. 21, 2011, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in Forest Dale Cemetery in Brandon, with the Rev. William Beaudin officiating, and followed by a reception at Brandon Senior Center.

SPRINGFIELD — Barbara J. Forguites, 65, died Jan. 21, 2011, at Springfield Hospital.
She was born Jan. 9, 1946, in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Robert M. and Marion (Evon) Hanna.
She graduated from Highland Park (N.J.) High School, received her bachelor’s degree from State University of New York – Buffalo and her master’s degree in special education from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland.
On Oct. 14, 1978, she married Robert J. Forguites in Brandon.
Mrs. Forguites was employed as a special education teacher in Springfield School District for 25 years, retiring in 2009.
She was a member of Court St. Anne 1069, Catholic Daughters of America, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and Retired Teacher Association of Windsor County.
Survivors include her husband of North Springfield; a son, Adam Forguites of Montpelier; her mother of Princeton, N.J.; two brothers, Robert Hanna of Highlands, N.J., and William Hanna of Buckeye, Ariz.; a sister, Linda Cosky of Summerfield, N.C.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Springfield, with the Rev. Peter Williams, pastor, and the Rev. James Zucarro officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Forest Dale (Vt.) Cemetery.
