Video: Heroic act spotlights dangerous Springfield intersection

Lifelong Springfield resident Nate Parker says he's seen a lot of crashes at the intersection of Routes 5 and 11. Last week, not only did he witness one, but he also sprang into action.

  3. The intersection isn't the problem, the drivers are. Leave it alone, or increase the speed limit back to 50 like it should be.

  4. Don't let this be your family or friends in this nightmare. Let the State know some changes need to happen at this intersection. The State of VT seems to be worried about how much real estate is located at the intersection. Well in the last 18 years I have lost count how many Killed or life changing accidents have happened at this junction. My family had an accident here 10 years ago. We brought this issue up then and no results, now it is time for something to be done. Great thing seat belts were used in this accident.
