Leigh Bolduc awarded Springfield Garden Club scholarship
Jul 21, 2014
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Garden Club is pleased to announce that the 2014 Springfield Garden Club Scholarship has been awarded to Leigh Bolduc, who plans on attending Vermont Technical College in Randolph, Vt., to be enrolled in their landscaping program.
Each year, the garden club awards one scholarship to an individual who is going on to higher education in the field of horticulture, landscaping and other related fields that are related to the club's mission of gardening, beautification and conservation.
The scholarship is made possible because of the club's annual Festival of Trees that funds civic beautification, and other programs that the club supports.

So how much is the scholarship worth? Another gaping hole in a "news" story!
ReplyDeleteThe amount of the scholarship isn't important, and yes, this is a "news" story. For all of the criticizing of the youth in Springfield, it's refreshing and encouraging to see a young man such as Leigh be recognized and rewarded for his dedication.
ReplyDeleteGood job Leigh. And wish you a successful career.
