Drug dealer sentenced on heroin charges August 07,2014 Man sentenced for heroin sales WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A Connecticut man will serve 3½ years in jail for selling heroin in downtown Springfield in December 2012. Elvin Gonzalez, 36, of Hartford, Conn., reached a plea agreement Tuesday in White River Junction criminal court. Gonzalez, whose street name is “Pee Wee,” pleaded guilty to two felony counts of heroin sales. The state dismissed a third count. He is serving a drug-related sentence in Massachusetts. His Vermont sentence will run concurrent to that sentence. Detective Patrick Call of the Southern Vermont Drug Task Force said police initially only knew the “Pee Wee” nickname and descriptions from informants of an out-of-state drug dealer “with a very large nose” who was hanging around the movie theater in downtown Springfield. Call said he eventually learned Gonzalez’s real name by checking who other drug suspects were “friending” on Facebook.
