Mechanic accused of stealing inspection stickers

Vermont inspectors are working to track down some 30 vehicles whose owners obtained state inspection stickers from a mechanic who was allegedly stealing them from his employer in Springfield and selling them to people on the side.

  1. RE: vehicles that could not pass a Vermont state inspection and (therefore) pose a great threat to motorists.

    OMG NO! A triggered ODB II light. The horror, the horror.

    In other news, most any kid with a scanner and Photo Shop can make impressive stickers.

    They'd only pass superficial checks, 5:56. Anybody with 20/20 eyesight and knowledgeable about what to look for can spot most phonies in an instant.

  3. Another great career decision. Similar to the postmaster in Claremont stealing thousands from the schools PTA while making $80,000 per year.....but she had to "feed her kids". Right!
