The search for a new town manager is getting closer.

  2. Glad the board paid $5,000 to the VT League of Cities and Towns to collect, staple, and sort a mere 51 resumes. Okay, okay, I get it. For our board, the number 51 constitutes higher math and thus warrants such wasteful spending. What a disgrace.

Wouldn't want to reveal the final list of candidates and their qualifications to the public for fear of actually receiving feedback about them from the town's citizens prior to the big selection and announcement. Better to keep everything under wraps and let this remain a cozy little arrangement between the board and the League of Cities and Towns. Too much sunlight might send the cockroaches scurrying...
