WINDSOR — Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has named Terry Berry of Springfield, a member of the housekeeping staff for the Professional Building, its Employee of the Month for August 2014 for her outstanding contributions and commitment. The monthly award recognizes employees who have demonstrated sustained service excellence in their respective departments and have displayed compassion, a caring approach and continuous hard work within their community.
Berry’s nomination was signed by 11 of her coworkers, who commended her upbeat attitude along with her tireless effort and initiative.“Terry is committed to excellence in everything she does and is always there for patients and coworkers alike. When issues need attending to, she’s there on the spot with a smile on her face. She takes great pride in all she does and it shows. She definitely deserves the recognition as Employee of the Month.”
Berry’s efforts and those of the MAHHC housekeeping department were vital in helping the hospital recently earn 3-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), as cleanliness was one of the 180 CARF standards the hospital was required to meet.
Berry was pleasantly surprised about receiving the award. “As Employee of the Month. I love what I do at MAHHC and assisting coworkers and helping patients is a truly fulfilling experience for me.”
