Staff Report
SPRINGFIELD – An open house to honor retired Springfield Town Manager Robert “Bob” Forguites will be held Friday evening at The Great Hall at 100 River Street.
The open house is being held by Forguites’ son Adam, according to Town Clerk Barbara Courchesne.
“We will be holding an open house to allow anyone who wishes to stop by to say ‘hello’ before he starts on a new lifestyle,” Adam Forguites said in the public invitation.
Forguites retired last year after 16 years as town manager and four years as the town’s finance director. He was elected in November to represent Springfield in the Vermont House of Representatives.
The open house will begin at 6 p.m., with speeches honoring Forguites at about 7 p.m. The open house concludes at 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
