Springfield Restorative Justice Center has bikes for sale Bike shop run by volunteers Mar 20, 2015 SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Restorative Justice Center has a bike shop. They have approximately 40 bicycles for sale. The price per bike is $40, or 20 hours of community service in the bike shop. These bikes help people in our community who are not allowed to drive. The bikes help them get to work, to treatment, to go shopping and most importantly, give them some freedom that they otherwise wouldn't have. The bike shop is open from 11:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays and from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Volunteers run the bike shop. The volunteers are community members who enjoy refurbishing bikes and giving back to their community. They are always looking for more volunteers, and if you are interested, call (802) 885-8707 or send an email to Spfldrjc.alyssa@gmail.com. Also, they're always in need of donations of used bikes.
Oh, and by the way, the bike shop can be found at it's secret location.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Can't bikes be used as "get away vehicles"? That's probably why the bike shop's location is a secret...
