Springfield VT Poll Workers Tally Up Votes
Springfield VT’s Incumbent Selectman David Yesman lost his seat to Walter Marten 329 – 806 in yesterday’s election. Yesman was against Warrant Article 8 that asked for $100,000 in a special dedicated fund for the demolition of dilapidated buildings in town, which the town voted in 773- 570. Incumbent Selectman Peter MacGillvray retained his seat receiving 768 votes. Carol Cole who also ran for Selectboard received 636 votes. Town Clerk Barbara Courchesene says the voter turnout was light. The school board race was uncontested and both the town and school budgets passed.
