UPDATE 9:30 PM: At approximently 6 p.m. today, five shots were fired at Wesley Wing, age 37, of Springfield. He was hit in the stomach. Wing was able to get to Jake's Market, a short distance from the shooting, where help was quickly summoned. Wing was transported by ambulance to Springfield Hospital and then airlifted to Dartmouth Hospital for surgery. He is listed in critical condition at this time. The shooter fled the scene and has not been found.

By WPTZ Staff Police responding to shooting in Springfield, Vermont Looking for a newer model black infiniti UPDATED 8:39 PM EDT Apr 18, 2015 SPRINGFIELD, Vt. —Police are investigating a shooting that happened near 181 South Street in Springfield, Vermont this evening. Authorities have asked people in the area of South Street between Cardinal Drive and Davis Street to be extremely cautious. Springfield Police tell us they're looking for a newer model black Infiniti. Investigators are not releasing many other details, but we do know that multiple officers and agencies have been called to the scene. Police have not said if any arrests have been made or if anyone has been hurt. Wes Wing Jake's Market
