Vermont Principal of the Year announced

This year's honoree is Bob Thibault from Springfield High School. The Vermont Principals' Association says Thibault helped stabilize the leadership of the school when he started six years ago and has since led the school to improved test scores and graduation rates and a decrease in behavioral incidents. "Bob is the most reflective principal I've met. He has an open-door policy and listens intently to all who enter his office: parents, students, teachers and community members. It is easy to see how much Bob cares for his students and the entire Springfield High School community. He highly deserves this honor and all of the accolades that come with it," said David Cohn, the district's curriculum director.
