North Springfield gas station held up again

The robber is believed to be a white male, approximately 5'8" tall and slender with dark hair. The robber was reportedly wearing a green hoodie that had the word "RICE" printed on the front, dark pants, and some sort of animal mask.

  1. Not happy about this as I'm working alone tonight. Isn't there anything better for people to do at night like sleep?

  3. OK OK now this isn't rocket science and I am not sure why Springding is so behind the times but this is simply fixed by putting in security glass at the register. It isn't anything new or innovative and gas stations have been doing this for well over a decade or two. Problem solved! its bullet proof there ya go. In the city they also have a panic button that not only calls police but locks down the damn doors which is hilarious to see the robbers trapped like rats....HELLO IRVING ARE YOU LISTENING? And I also agree with above...damn already spend a little money and get a high tech camera system...I mean REALLY!

  4. This place is the most unsafe place to work. Maybe if they couldn't find anybody to work there the company might do something.

  5. Behold the new norm for Springfield. Where an armed robbery gets no more attention than jacklighting deer.

I would like to extend thanks to the full complaint of liberal representatives, senators, governor and his appointed judiciary. Just like Baltimore, Detroit, Newark, Ferguson and a dozen other human cesspools, Springfield too has become a progressive utopia.

Also need to extend special thanks to a selectboard elected by a critical mass of mental deficient, selfish, self-serving parasites for refusing to enforce zoning and curtailing rampant expansion of low income housing. And very most of all, an exceptional, extra special thanks to the director of Springfield Housing Authority who's shrew social engineering has made all this possible. Who could have ever contemplated enough addicts, drunks, unwed mothers, homeless, electively unemployed disabled, and other assorted parasites could be lured here via low income housing and social services to derail what was once the highest standard of living not only in Vermont, but most of Northern New England. Very well played sir!

  6. Gee, it's too bad the SPD didn't have an expensive sophisticated software package that would enable them to identify "clusters" of high crime areas that they could patrol more heavily and deter these robberies.

At least I'm sure that's what they'll at least use as a partial excuse for letting this gas station and Rite Aid be robbed repeatedly.

Someone please drop off a map and some colored push-pins to the police station so that SPD can get a clue where these crimes are occurring.

  8. Not having crime map program in place gives the administration their excuse. Plus they have to plan for the upcoming winter parking ban and people who speed on Clinton street. This is the safety we can count on

    1. A crime map program does not prevent crime.
