Tesla Powerwall

Green Mountain Power is pleased to announce that it will be one of the first energy companies in the country to offer Tesla's new home battery, the Powerwall, to customers.

    It's all about the celebrity of billionaire inventor Elon Musk. Note the "selfie" that GMP CEO Mary Powell took with Musk. This story is more about Powell advancing her career (and compensation package) at the expense of her VT customers than it is about advances in energy production and storage.
