Springfield on the Move revive lampposts

Carrying out an initiative of the Springfield On the Move design committee, downtown lampposts are being brought back to life! With the help of several volunteers gathered by Alan Woodbury and Lew Baldvins, 12 light poles have already been primed. Starting on the east side of Main Street across from the Community house, they primed all the poles up to the traffic light at the Square. Volunteers will next prep the poles on the west side of Main Street from the Community House to the Square. The finish coat will then be applied. In addition to Alan Woodbury and Lew Baldvins, volunteers included Charlie Blish, Rusty Hill, Ken Skinner, Mac and Pauline Skinner, Hannah, Isiah and Camille Skinner. They are members of the Springfield Christian Men’s Group, Mark Albee, Pastor. If you would like to help your downtown, contact SOM at (802) 885-1527 or email at som@vermontel.net.
