Published September 16, 2015 in the Rutland Herald Man charged with fondling woman WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A Springfield man is facing a felony charge of lewd and lascivious conduct after witnesses said he fondled a young woman at a Family Dollar Store in Springfield last week. Michael Dube, 34, pleaded innocent to the charge Tuesday in White River Junction criminal court and was released on conditions. Witnesses said Dube grabbed the 21-year-old woman in line ahead of him Friday night while commenting on her body, police said. The woman told Dube to “Back off!” and her boyfriend made Dube apologize to her. A witness told police it appeared that Dube had been drinking. A breath test showed Dube had a 0.173 percent blood-alcohol level, police said. Dube admitted to part of the incident in which he “smacked” the woman from behind, police said. He allegedly told police “he has done this before and didn’t think he was overstepping his bounds.” Dube faces up to five years in jail if convicted.
It must be ok, he's done it before.
