Annual Holiday Open House at VINE Sanctuary

The staff of VINE animal sanctuary will be opening their holiday party to the members of their extended community of volunteers, donors, boosters, and other friends of the sanctuary. It happens this Thursday, December 27th from 12 PM – 3 PM.

The sanctuary is located at 158 Massey Road in Springfield. Drop by with snacks to share, baked goods to swap, or just best wishes for the sanctuary as we celebrate the return of the sun following the winter solstice and look forward to a new year.

FAQs

Do I need to bring anything?
While this is a potluck and cookie swap, we always have more than enough to share, so feel free to bring only your best wishes for a happy new year. Like all VINE events, this will be a vegan happening so, if you do bring something to share or to swap, please make sure that it is free of any animal products.

Can I visit the animals?
You can certainly visit with the birds who live at the part of the sanctuary where this event will be held. We generally do not invite visitors to our "up the hill" property where the mammals and more birds live once the driveway and walkways have been covered with ice and snow. However, weather permitting and if a staff member is willing to tag along, it may be possible for those who are already familiar with the sanctuary to visit their cow, sheep, and alpaca friends.
