On behalf of the majority of our Positive Parent Group members, we would like to recognize the thoughtful budget process that our schools, administration, School Board, and newly formed School Board budget committee have presented for voter approval.
We feel it is important to pass this budget the first time around, supporting the efforts of many individuals who have devoted their time and talent to present a budget that meets the needs of our Springfield students.
This year's budget process has been more transparent than in past years, all inclusive of its stakeholders and representative of a truly collaborative effort by teachers, staff, business professionals and parents.
On behalf of the Positive Parent Group, thank you for a reasonable and responsible budget for the voters to approve for the 2010-11 fiscal year. We are optimistic the school district is heading in a positive direction.
