He figures that someone had already cut the stems in a field and the recent rains just swept someone's hard work away. Out of the blue he saw a bass boat loaded to the rail with pumpkins apparently scooped up by some fisherman. •

River Pumpkins
Dozens of pumpkins were seen floating down the Connecticut River Sunday after a pumpkin field in NH got flooded out from heavy rains.
