Man gets 5+ years on drug conviction

A 42-year-old Springfield man is going to prison for more than five years after pleading guilty to a charge that he conspired to distribute cocaine and heroin.

  1. nope no drug problems in springfield...wasn't that what was preached two or three years ago. Well lets see he got 5 years and that has already been cut for time served already and by the time the restorative justice center gets him he will be in jail hmmm maybe another month or so before being out dealing again. Sorry prison is for punishment. Put them out breaking rocks in 100 degree weather.

  2. This was a federal trial so he will serve 80% of the 5 years. This guy has been a menance for quite awhile. Good job to the Vt Drug Task force for getting him out of the town. Unfortunetly there are many others to take his place.
