Bernie, thanks for your contributions to $15,999,999,999,999 in federal debt, years of unemployment in excess of 8%, 12 straight years of budget deficits, anemic economic growth, higher energy prices, higher tuition rates, employing your family on your campaign staff, wiping your feet on the Constitution, and generally hastening the decline of the United States. Your "free lunch" campaign stop says it all. Now get lost!
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes, all of these miserable problems, while oil profits soar, two wasteful wars were waged, and financial institutions becoming too big to fail due to lack of regulation.
ReplyDeleteBernie, I wish you could have done more.
Bernie can you bring some more development money. It seems we've spent it all on administrative costs.
ReplyDeleteAlso, bring jobs.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous, you meant to thank GW Bush, not Bernie. It was Bush who brought on deficit spending by borrowing to pay for the Iraq War, who gave the $286 billion Clinton surplus to the nation's already-wealthiest and gave us $13.6 trillion in national debt; he also praised the elderly-- and stiffed Meals on Wheels; praised Boys and Girls' Clubs-- and stiffed them; praised the nation's first responders-- and stiffed them; praised the nation's hospitals-- and stiffed them; praised the nation's schools-- and stiff them; praised our veterans-- and stiffed them; praised our community college students-- and stiffed them-- all in only 8 years! Boss Hogg could say a little something about this....
ReplyDeleteWell I don't know Chuck, Bush established a reputation for the United States which was a little adrift for a reputation. I always kind of was partial to the label "rogue state" that the Europeans gave us. And you forgot that we had that wonderful name for taters for awhile, you know Freedom Fries because of those pesky French...never did trust Lafayette completely. And Cheney of course was right about old Europe why look how well Eastern Europe is doing these days compared to France and Germany. Now everybody knows that the Defense budget is to funnel money into our defense contractors, not take care of our veterans. Veterans are only important for get out the vote campaigns and to keep the money flowing into defense contracts. But you know replacing them with security contractors was kind of charming, I always kind of like the word mercernaries -- almost like the pirate culture craze. And it was done so cunningly with the offshore employers so the mercenaries got stiffed when it came unemployment...I thought that was particularly shrewd, its going to be hard for Mitt to top that one, get people to fight for you and then stiff them as far as unemployment is concerned. Now you can't criticize Bush for NCLB either, why look at all the money he funneled into his relatives hands out there in Texas with those standardized learning kits -- why that was simply brilliant. And look how quickly teachers learned to teach the test, course we still had to dumb down the test a bit. No Bush was our friend he turned that surplus into a deficit and didn't pay any attention to his Sec. of Treasury -- I think he sent him on a tour of Africa, unfortunately he met Bono over there, but who would have guessed. And that gal he named to the EPA who thought he would do something about global warming wasn't that a class act...course he had to can her. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteMy kid is out of diapers, its ALL Bush's fault.
ReplyDeleteWhen they immediately seek to divert the topic from Bernie to Bush, you know our pathetic senator has failed to perform! Be gone Bernie! But let me grab one last "free lunch", will ya?
