Springfield football coach: Decision to cancel varsity season came down to safety
By Christian Avard
Staff Writer | September 18,2012
SPRINGFIELD — Springfield High School has canceled the remainder of the 2012 varsity football schedule and the decision came down to one issue: safety.
Springfield High School administrators and Cosmos football coach Kevin Tallman told parents and students on Monday night the team lacked the depth to adequately fill a varsity football team. Bob Thibault, Springfield High School principal, said the team lacks upperclassmen and it puts them at a disadvantage on the field, especially against Division II teams.
“The decision was not about winning and losing but what’s best for the kids and what are (they) getting out of it,” Thibault said. “They’re getting concussions and injuries after injuries and as numbers depleted, we just can’t staff a varsity program in good conscience and play against Division II teams. We can’t subject our guys to it.”
The Cosmos will continue to play football but at a junior varsity level. Springfield High School Athletic Director Joe Brown apologized to the seniors who will forego their final year of varsity.
“This really sucks for the seniors but you guys have to be admired,” Brown said. “I understand what’s it’s like not to play your senior year and I applaud you for sticking it through the program when a lot of people gave up.”
Springfield High School administrators asked the Vermont Principals Association if seniors could play for other area football programs such as Bellows Falls and Windsor High School or Fall Mountain High School in Charlestown, N.H. The VPA denied their request, arguing it could disrupt the balance of their football programs.
“If we’re sending guys to other schools and displacing starters, how would people in that town feel about their kid being replaced by a kid from Springfield?” Thibault asked.
The Cosmos have 12 freshmen, 10 sophomores, five juniors, and five seniors on this year’s squad. The scores of the last two football games indicated they were in over their heads as they lost to Otter Valley and Fair Haven by a combined score of 108-6.
Their last game against Lyndon Institute was forfeited on Friday due to an inadequate roster size. Tallman said three of their five seniors were healthy enough to play and that forced him to rely on underclassmen.
“We had three freshman that were starting and playing both ways. The kids were in harm’s way and I had to pull the plug,” Tallman said. “It pains me but for the safety of the program it was the right decision to make.”
I know the negative comments are coming from anonymous so I'll start with something positive.
ReplyDeleteFirst, thank you to Coach Tallman, he took on the team knowing it was going to be tough. When asked if he would still be here for the kids and team at the meeting he said "I'm not going anywhere!" It was followed by a round of applause. As a parent I am thankful that he will be here.
To the parents of the football team. All of you have given so much for this team and have stood behind coach Tallman and supported him as well. Whether it be hosting team dinners, helping in the snack shack, doing fundraisers, working on the chain gang or just cheering for the team no matter what. You are all awesome!!
Now to the seniors....You men are amazing! Your are giving up your senior year of playing on a varsity team and playing at a JV level. You are role models for the younger kids, you are teaching them how to play the game, how to be respectful and how team spirit and pride will make you a winner no matter what.
All 5 of you will not be forgotten for your sacrifice this year or anytime down the road. As a parent I look up to you! It isn't just because most of you are bigger then me either. I am proud to be part of Cosmos nation.
no, you lost out.
DeleteRemember this.
Remember what socialism did to Vermont.
fight for the Re-United States on gun day.
Yeah football Vet !!!!!
DeleteTAKE BACK THE COSMOS
Tim ...well said. It's wonderful to read a positive message instead of the constant harping and negative commentary by "Anonymous".
ReplyDeleteI join you in applauding the seniors who have been forced to sacrifice their final season at SHS. The situation is no fault of theirs but they are setting a wonderful example by doing what's best for the future of the program. It may never indicate it in the record book but they are all champions.
The future of Cosmos Nation is in fine hands under the leadership of Coach Tallman. Springfield couldn't have found a better man for the job.
Amen Ray!
DeleteIt appears that Tallman isn't the only one up at 3:30 in the morning. If you are planning a shilling attack at least be smart about it. You too, Tim @ 3:38 AM. Consecutive shill posting always looks disingenuous.
DeleteThis is STUPID !!!
DeleteNo real coaches so you turn the SENIORS into UN_PAID J.V. COACHES..
FOUL !!Q!!
This was a gutsy and very appropriate decision. I applaud Coach Tallman for having the guts to put Safety First and applaud those athletes who are sticking with him.
ReplyDeleteStay away from those opiates, Doc!
DeleteAre you a gay homosexual or what ??
DeleteHahaha. Let the shilling begin. Coach Tallman falsely claimed that he was competent and that “We can be competitive in Division II by blocking, tackling and football intelligence” in order to get the job. Twenty-five of 32 players from a year ago were coming back and 28 freshmen had signed up. What happened? He lied. He failed. He was unable to recruit enough players and he failed to train the ones that did show up properly.
ReplyDeleteGet a new coach that the players can believe in and one who can effectively train the players. There are plenty of high school teams where the players go both ways. He has already destroyed one entire football season for Springfield. Don't let him destroy the entire football program forever. Quit making excuses for incompetence. Can the clown!
There is NO future for the Cosmos Quitter Nation in the incompetent hands and under the "leadership" of Coach Tallman. Shirkers never win.
2012. It may not actually be the end of the world, but it was the year that Springfield finally QUIT!
ReplyDeleteSpringfield on the Move? Na, we QUIT!
ReplyDeleteLet's start a Football Facade Program....
DeleteHAHAHA !!!...
Typical move by a town on the dole -- can our seniors play for your school instead? Springfield's Handout Hamlet entitlement mentality continues...
ReplyDeleteSpringfield High School - Home of the kinder, gentler football program.
ReplyDeleteshoulder pads take on a whole new meaning
DeleteThey cancelled the season? DOH!
ReplyDeletetraffic to Holyoke ON THE RISE !
DeleteLeave it to Tim, Ray, and Tony - always finding the silver lining in FAILURE!
ReplyDeleteIn the immortal words of Wince Letsparty - QUITING isn't the only thing, it's EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteSad to read this news. Cosmos football played such a big role in my life growing up, from attending games as a kid to beating Bellows Falls on Brown Field in 1993 as a Senior under the great coaching/mentoring of Coach Tom Lovett. Hopefully the program can rebound and provide those opportunities to many more young Springfielders in years to come.
ReplyDeleteTallman is a used car salesman. The exact type of person Springfield seems to love these days. What he says and does are two different things but you're not suppose to notice. My guess is he's hanging around because he can't get a job anywhere else. Who the heck or how the heck was part of the decision making this hiring choice? To bad Homer Simpson didn't apply, or was he one the "chosen" to make the hiring decision. I would like to hear from the coach that wrote facts in the last story. Something just isn't right here.
ReplyDeleteThis shows your ignorance. He is not a car salesman. He WAS at a meeting that you, the towns people were all invited to attend. There were about 5 or 10 people that had no direct impact to the team this year that were in attendance.
DeleteTallman, spoke about the lack of students and he took the blame, even though it isn't him that caused this issue.
It's funny, all of you anon's come on here and talk so much crap but when you are face to face you clam up like a typical punk. You can hide behind your keyboards in the comfort of your own home and say whatever you wish.
I invite all of you to come out, meet the players, the coaches and the parents and see they we are all a good group of people who want whats best for our kids. I would like to hear your opinions in REAL LIFE not on a computer.
With you people posting as anonymous it just means you obviously don't believe what you say or are too scared to say it and stand behind it.
exactly the point, he stood up in front of all of you and made his excuse then took the blame. Oh boohoo, poor me. I'm sorry Mom can I have another cookie now. He did cause the issue that's why he's taking the blame. In most jobs that equals FIRED! BTW A players dad is no different than Anonymous name post.
DeleteAmazing. All of those crying about those posting anonymously are defending the coach even when he is the one ultimately responsible for this football program failure. He even admitted it. The only place that would hire a coach to fail and keep him is in Loserville, er, Springfield. Calling us punks for questioning this irrational behavior while you , too, post anonymously is so bully-like. I feel sorry for your son. The only way you can fix this problem is by hiring a successful coach and let him hire some new assistant coaches. Patting yourself on the back claiming "we are all a good group of people who want whats best for our kids" and refusing to fix what is wrong is so Springfield. So are the intimidations and name calling.
DeleteOh, those pesky concussions, injured knees, and in later years, rotator cuff issues. Yes, I want men to show their testostrone and brains by running after a ball and getting chewed up by fights.
ReplyDeleteBring on the rebuttals.
Can we keep in mind we are talking football here not golf.
DeleteWell then, I guess you've just discovered, from coach to water boy, there are no real "men" in the SHS football program.
DeleteCan we keep in mind we are talking football here not golf.
DeleteSpringfield.....where the only thing left to look forward to is.....the police dept motto....“U Raise ‘em, We Cage ‘em.”
ReplyDelete"Doctor" Perotti, please remit the prorated (remaining) balance of "Coach" Tallman's salary for the 2012-2013 school year to the Springfield taxpayers.
ReplyDeleteSilly goose...club members don't have to pay, they just spend their days convincing the tax payers that paying for boondoggles and lost causes is good medicine.....
DeleteThanks. I keep forgetting we're compensating them for their "good intentions" and not their results!
DeleteI can recall when the Cosmos were State Champs and the good "Doctor" was using that to sell the budget. I guess he's not that interested now. Let the coach keep the money he earned it with all those mini-camps and off season workouts. Plus he has all those brochures and doesn't sleep at night. Glad you parents love the guy.
DeleteWell then, I guess you've just discovered, from coach to water boy, there are no real "men" in the SHS football program.
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly sexist and honestly STUPID! Are you for real with the whole no real men? REALLY? WOW! Let me know how your Payton Manning NOT supports himself after school is out!
DeleteWOW! Im laughing...no real men...now that is some funny shiznit! What an idiot!
How ludicrous! Real men, and women, identify themselves in discussions.
ReplyDeleteBabs, how do we know you are a real woman?
DeleteYou don't, but there are people on here that know I am willing to help with solutions. Slandering coaches, doctors, and high school kids isn't going to help the 4 REAL varsity players that have been playing in the wrong division for 2 years. They have had the help of JV players but JV is just that. Kids not ready for varsity and they aren't suppose to be ready in 9 th and 10th grade. I'd be happy to discuss this further with people who are confident enough to speak in person and not just behind a protective screen.
DeleteBabs, pointing out reality about failure after failure in Springfield is not slander, it is the truth. Stop the nonsense that someone posting anonymously can't be heard or have an opinion. It makes you look stupid....Unfortunately the shills for the failures descend claiming nonsense like yourself. Quit covering up for the failures. Fire the coach and the clowns that hired him. Give the kids a chance to regain a valuable program rather then destine it to continued decay. The only way this ever gets fixed is to fire the incompetents. Have the intestinal fortitude to demand it.
DeleteI think you are right, if you are going to start over, then start over with a coaching staff also. Trust has gone out the window on this coach. He talked about the system that he would continue, seems the kids didn't care for that system. How about our new AD start listen to the public that paid the taxes that got him his education. Start over, now.
DeleteIf we post under our name do we get to post ridiculous remarks and shill for every failed town policy?
ReplyDeleteI'll agree with that. Another option is to join a town board and be part of creating policies that don't fail.
Deletebe part of a "town board" ?
Deletewhy when these "boards" are used to create walls ?
Wow, thank you all for a lovely read...
ReplyDeletethis blog is in cometition with some of the best....
I must say...
Hopefully when I wake up tommorrow some one will get it right...
Hopefully when you wake up tomorrow you will be able to make some sense and maybe spell.

32 comments about the football season being canceled, but absolutely no one commenting on the fact that very large quantities of drugs were found on valley street after an assualt occured. Oh, and two of the suspects were allowed to leave the scene and are now wanted in connection with the heroin.
ReplyDeletePriorites people, priorites.
Want more kids on your football teams? Clean up the garbage in this town so families feel safe and comfortable moving/living here.
This is in sarcasm but I couldn’t help myself. Look, we already know that the police are incompetent so we are not all that surprised. But to learn that the football coach is incompetent too, well that is a bit much to take. Besides I would think the police are happy to get a break from being the point of most discussions on here.
Deletepoint taken.
DeleteIt is because people love to talk smack about kids and don't have the cojones to pick on grown adults
Delete@Barb 1;30 pm- I think you may be on to something..lets all join a committee or board so we can "talk and talk and talk" policies until the public forgets RIGHT? Kind of like the policies that the school system FAILED to follow in the Elm Hill cases or the federal and state policies and procedures that the district FAILED to follow in the latest discrimination case that was in the paper! I think you miss the point or didnt get the memo that in this district law and policy is just ignored and thrown by the wayside.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct though when you say others should join boards. Yes, everyone who is unhappy should be listing their name to be elected to the school board so that once and for all some progress AND the voters decisions can actually be enforced to make a difference and to force the school board to actually ACT and operate correctly.
What a shame this much passion and support is not shown to get the actual administration portion of the system operational.
Instead everyone is mad that their student (whether prepared or not) can play in the next football game. HOW HORRIBLE. Unfortunately what the parents fail to even consider is that playing in the athletic season IS NOT AND WILL NOT pay your childs bills once they leave school! Typical Springfield though!
what ever are all of our future jobs are going to be filled by prison help....
Deletewhat have we got to look forward to now ?
they canceled the football team so we have nothing to do but get arrested.
DeleteIt's all part of the socialist take over plan.
Plenty of herion though.
“U Raise ‘em, We Cage ‘em.”
Deleteatleast we'll have a prison football team.
Deletetoo true pin stripes
Deletecan I be Captain ?
DeleteI always did like Burt in the Longest Yard (1974 version). Maybe Tallman will find his calling there?
DeleteWell, I do have a thought....I imagine that all these loudmouths going off about the athletic season were all in line helping and offering support to the coach right? Im guessing that you all were boosters, and bought tickets ahead of time, you offered your time to tutor students whose grades may have been too low to qualify for the team in order to get them up to par to play, you all were there right offering drinks and donating your time to ensure success for the team, and I am guessing all of you complaining also offered your help to phone other families who students would be a good addition to the team? UMMMM I didnt think so...I know your response...That isn't my job it is the coaches right? My job is to be a lazy non involved parent who only wants to show up at a friday night game and then go home and drink some beers! Get real and get involved or shut your mouth!
ReplyDeleteyou pay me and I'll school you
DeleteThank you for trying to make those that think the coach failed feel badly about their own possible short comings. Unfortunately your fabricated excuses as to why the coach failed were exactly that, excuses. And not very good ones, either. Try harder next time. Supporting failure is what Springfield is all about. You fit right in. Blame the kids, blame the parents, blame the demographics while the town is flushed down the river by those in control. Who sounds like a "loudmouth" now? You do!
DeleteCan the boys now qualify to play in the girls league ?
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA >..>......
The shame.....will we ever live it down? Go away.
DeleteI can't go away...
DeleteI get extra credit for running this blog up to 200 comments
and printing copies for the locker room.
Shhhhhh! Quiet down everyone. You will wake Coach Tallman. Seems he has been up every nite at 3:00 AM writing down plays for the team.
ReplyDeleteHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!!
DeleteAnd imagine, we all chose to talk about the issues with the football team instead of the valley street news, the police and school board, on the football blog. We are idiots. Just because we aren't in here trying to solve world hunger, doesn't mean we're not interested in other issues!
ReplyDeleteSo, even if the coach, the AD,the school board, freshman not being men, are the reasons why there isn't a team, what can we do to save what is left? I gotta agree with anonymous 3:30 and Babs at the idea that running down all the incompetents, if they are or aren't, isn't going to save this years program. Let's be realistic to all you super jocks who ran a 100 yard touch down with no help: Bill B. can't make a varsity team out of 4 or 5 seniors and a couple juniors. Where did all the football players go? I heard they left year before last when they heard they would be in a different division cause they knew they were going to get creamed!! Say what ya want, the current players deserve to be able to play and a new coach this late in the season isn't going to solve anything.
@Brattleboro Wide Reciever: I hope you get a concussion and have to be in diapers.
Oh yeah ??
Deletewell...
You won't be giving it to me on the field will you...
HA HA HA
@ Brattleboro Wide Receiver: Nope, and neither will any of the Springfield players. The point was a metaphor: You never know what is going to be handed to you so why would you want to pick at a few kids that have no control over their fate?? I really hope you're a High School football player and not an adult. I thought when you spelled receiver wrong you were probably a student. HA HA HA
ReplyDeleteWe are laughing at your School Board and SelectBoard. and not so much your coach and absolutely not the players, (cough).
DeleteWe are adults from Springfield... miss spelled words are our #tag
HA HA HA HA drop the soap lately? #pigskin
@ ???
DeleteNo I'm not.
I am a student on the Football Team.
Sorry about the spelling.
i before e except after C !!!
my coach taught me that, but I still have to practice typing slower while I drive.
what makes it look better for next year??? still gonna have the same kids next year.....guess they better start a flag football team..
ReplyDeletesorry but I can't boohoo for the coach, the kids yes, not the coach. he talked up a good game and sold a bill of goods to get the job. Now it looks like the you know what has hit the fan. What happen to all those kids coming back because he was going to be the coach, i guess he's not all he made himself up to be is he. Yeah it is just a sports program but it is the face of a school, sadly the correct face in this case. Can you get back the guys that turned this around before, don't they still live in this town? Come on school system, give us something to look forward to each year.
ReplyDeleteLook what it says about the Head of The School and the entire School Board...
DeleteWhat a Joke they are..
I mean, even their Football Coach is yellow.
Can they Pick Any Competent People ?
Maybe they can hire a new coach for $2
DeleteYou Better Give Every Last One Of Those Boys a Varsity Letter @ the end of the season
ReplyDeleteMaybe ....but first we have to give the coach a boot for causing this nightmare. Until then all we can look forward to is more seasons cancelled because of an inept coach. The time to fix this is NOW, not after the clown and his loyal supporters have destroyed Springfield's football program forever. Enough kids have been damaged. Fix the problem(fire the coach and those that hired him) or forget about football for Springfield forever.
Deleteglad I'm not alone
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, the school board didnt hire him. They don't hire coaches. It wa the principal, last years AD and a couple of the teams players. Secondly, there weren't a bunch of people beating down the door to get the job. Third, there were no 32 players coming back back cause I think there were 18-20 kids left by the end of last season! Let's try to say this a l I t t l e s l o w e r --there are not enough players to have a varsity team IN Dll! If they were in Dlll they would have been okay because Dlll teams play more sophomores. Why don't all you coach haters contact the VPA. They are the ones who put them there and ruined last years program, which filtered into this years demise.
ReplyDeleteI am going to repeat what Coach Tallman told everyone in March 2011. I will do it very slowly so that you do not twist the coach's own statements again in some fact less barrage in order to support an incompetent coach.
Delete"Twenty-five of those 32 players from a year ago are coming back and 28 freshmen have signed up."
“We can be competitive in Division II by blocking, tackling and football intelligence,” said Tallman.
Okay I have read enough. Let's do another fact check here. You are right the board did not hire the coach, the people doing the interviews and I would assume making the final choice was the Principal, exiting AD, one student player (who was very responsible), Kathy Paul and George Richie (sp).
ReplyDeleteKnowing the history here I would tend to agree with your returning player count. But the amount of players does not come into account in Vermont when determining what Division you compete in. Many States it does but not here. You are correct that DIII teams field more younger players but not always the case. Football is a sport of cycles, if you have a large sophomore class and they come along nicely then you will have a senior based team in two years, that generally converts to competitive.
The VPA did not put Springfield in DII, the VIFL did. And that would of had to be agreed to by the AD at the time and the coach as one of them would be a voting member. The VPA maybe had to approve it but seldom do they disrespect a VIFL vote. Keep in mind the VIFL is made up of all the coaches in Vermont. I'm sure Springfield was asked to move up and they said yes.
No board or organization ruins any program. Paul Kendall certainly turned around soccer in Springfield. Mike Hatt took a football program over that was "all but over" (and coached the first year unpaid, I know because I was there with him, also unpaid) and turned that around. Point here is that it comes down to leadership and effort. You have to create excitement for the sport and gets kids to believe in you. Kids know a BS artist when they spend everyday on the practice field with a coach. Not sayind the current coach is that as I don't know him. Just saying you can't fool the athletes that are trying to apply what you are teaching. And by the way teaching is what a high school coach is doing.
P.S. Not at all interested in this job, I just get tried of reading half truths. I did interview but I'm quite happy I wasn't qualified for the job.
Rich: we were told at the parent meeting Monday night that the VPA made, and makes the desicisions. They said the VPA trumps VIFL. As a parent, last fall I spoke with the AD, and as you state, when the team went to Dll, the coach and AD could have appealed and didn't. The AD was new and unaware, and frankly I don't know what the coaches reason was. We were also told that whatever association did this looks at the players past 3 years record, the amount of kids in a school and the amount of players on the roster. We asked last fall to go back to Dll and we were told it was the VPA's desicision. They said not for two years. I also can't help but feel that there is some validity in the fact that a handful of varsity players with freshman and sophomore support, does not make a competition against a team full of seniors. If we had 20 juniors and seniors on our team and this was happening, I could agree to it being primarily a coaching issue.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your input. I just wanted you to know that some of what is being said in regards to how we got where we are has come from the administration. If your formula is correct then we should be in great shape in a couple years because, from what I am told, 25 of the 34 players are freshman and sophomores, and they are slotted to go back to Dlll where this town has had the most recent success.
Babs: I am going to repeat what Coach Tallman told everyone in March 2011. I will do it very slowly so that you do not twist the coach's own statements again in some fact less barrage in order to support an incompetent coach.
Delete"Twenty-five of those 32 players from a year ago are coming back and 28 freshmen have signed up."

Springfield's football prospects will not improve until their broken leader is removed and replaced with someone that is competent to run a high school football program. Tallman has already proven that he is not the man for the job.
Should read March 2012.
Deleteyeah, seriously.
DeleteLet everyone know that Springfield hired a REALLY bad coach...
and that their is some room on the team if any Football Families would like to consider moving here. It is possible their kids might not only get good playing time, but are also very wanted by the team and the town
Barb, Let me make my point clear, because I did not. The VPA is the final say, no question, the end. But as a person that was a voting member of the VIFL at one time let me tell you this. The VIFL creates an agenda, votes on that agenda and then takes it to the VPA, which then adds their check mark. Not saying they don't question it or have their own concerns.
DeleteIn defense of the VIFL and I've sit through some very long and annoying meetings, every opinion is heard and every effort in normally made to keep a football program alive. Nobody wants to lose a football program in a State that already struggling to field teams. I've been told by many (as I was not at the meeting) that Springfield was offered a chance to move up, while this is a moot point now both the new AD and coach agreed. My guess then is that a vote was taken and it passed without any member voting no. When the VPA sees this they are not going to open a Federal Case to find out why.
With that being said if I was a VPA Official I would listen to the case being made for Springfield last year but then remind you of the agreed terms and that the VIFL is on a two year rotation of scheduling, which then the team can ask to move down. You can't just rearrange schedules and leagues overnight.
I feel bad for all those kids, not just the Seniors. I beleive your son is one of those that I even coached when he was a freshman. I do feel for the adminstration also as they are stuck with a decision made by folks long gone.
So in summary Springfield itself created this problem not the VPA or the VIFL (hey if I was a coach getting my butt kicked by Springfield back then I would want them moved to DII also). This coach had nothing to do with that decision. But I refuse to interject my thoughts without knowing him or his program. I'm trying to stick to just the facts here, something we don't seem to get anywhere in todays world.
Thank you Ray, very well said. I guess that's what many of us have been trying to point out. The previous coach didn't object, knowing we really didn't have the numbers. I totally understand that they couldn't rearrange last years schedule, but this years schedule wasn't ready last October when we began this process. It was all Springields fault, again agreed. But once some of us parents realized what was happening we asked about turning it around. I'm not asking anyone to give Tallman coach of the year award here, but that's all they seem to focus on. And yes, you did coach him along with Mike Hatt and Luke Mitchell. He loves football and wants to play but he can't do it with minimal team members.
ReplyDeleteBabs: Sorry about your son's dilemna. It's too late to fix the program for your son. Unfortunately it appears the school wants to travel the same path for next year. The coach was unsuccessful in recruiting for this year and it appears he also drove away some of the veteran players that were returning. Ignoring this and the fact that the coach is also unsuccessful in training the players will doom the future of football in Springfield forever. They say the sure sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Seems to be a pattern here in Springfield concerning the demise of this town and the school system.
DeleteWell MR Anonymous you surly do have alot to say in the last couple of days!
DeleteDo you feel sorry for my kids dilemna too? Seen your Son still has a couple of more years in the program he should be are set when they go back to Dlll next season ?
Actually it is MRS Anonymous and some of us don't need to get our ego stroked by seeing our name in print. The usual attack here on anonymous posters by those that can't stand to see their biased and usually false statements questioned makes those that use it look stupid. Attempted intimidation of posters doesn't make their posts less valid. Oh and I have said nothing about my son but feel free to share your son's dilemna.
DeleteHa. I knew they tried to put girls on the team.
DeleteHa Ha Ha
I wish that some of Springfields other problems would generate so much passion!
ReplyDeleteMrs Anonymous, well it seems to me you know ALL and what went wrong with the Football Program this year!! I would think you would know the players, there number and what position they play. So you should know what my son's dilemna is already. Seen you have all the answers to fix the promblem. Please feel free to submit your RESUME for the Coaches job next year. You might be the ONE to turn the program around and get coach of the year :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Maureen for believing in me and my opinions.
DeleteEveryone does have a right to there own opinions.
DeleteYou feel stongly enough about your opinions, you have knowledge of Springfield and it's Football program. That if you are qualify for the position, start working on that resume and letters to the School Administration. You could be the man for the job.
Ready !!!!
ReplyDeleteSet !!!!!
CUT !!!!!
flag football for seniors next year
ReplyDeleteUh-oh Montpeliers gonna have to fire their coach too because his starters were out and he used inexpeirenced players. Must be he isn't competent enough either if he can't have freshman and sophomores ready for varsity their first season. The shame in high school football.
ReplyDeleteThis may be one of the dumbest remarks I've ever read on this blog. Oh yeah, Montpelier played their game. What was the final of the Springfield Varsity game this past week? Oh that's right there wasn't one.
DeleteYep and their full squad is 22 players when they are all healthy. Imagine that! That's quite a bit different than here in Excusefield. Can the coach!
Delete
