SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers were called to a disorderly subject at the Springfield Hospital. During the investigation it was found that Todd Andrews acted in a tumultuous manner while inside the hospital, yelling loudly and knocking over furniture, thus disrupting the operations of the hospital and disturbing the other patients. Todd was taken into custody without incident and later lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $1000 cash or surety bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On August 31, 2012 King went to her daughters in an effort to clean up all the cigarette butts on the ground so her grandchildren didn't have to play near them. She was irritate at this, so she went to confront the tenant she thought was leaving the butts on the ground. When she confronted Harris a disagreement led to King threatening Harris, and then and altercation between the two of them. King was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Simple Assault and Harris was cited for Simple Assault and Violation of Conditions of release.

Citations to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on 09/04/12 for Harris , 10/23/12 for King.

Harris' cite was shorter period of time due to already being on Conditions of Release

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers were called to the Penguin Mart on 08-15-12 at approximately 0210 hours for the report of vandalism to a vehicle. Investigation revealed that the damage, a smashed windshield, was the result of a domestic disturbance between Cody Barton and Kayla Hatch. The vehicle in question belonged to Kayla's mother and she wanted charges pursued in the matter. The total damage was $200.

The Good Buy store asked us to remind citizens that it is considered "littering" when you choose to leave items outside the door of the establishment when it is closed. This also includes depositing of items on the ground around the Planet Aid boxes. If you are unable to deposit the items in the store during business hours or within the secure containers for Planet Aid, you can be fined for littering which carries a fine of $200. We have already dealt with one such individual who was found to have dumped stuff at the Planet Aid boxes. Don't risk the fine...wait to drop items off during the day or when the recepticals are empty. -- Springfield Police Department
