  1. Can we PLEASE put this ridiculousness to rest? Seriously, the world around us is falling apart and people are worried about 2 animals being humanely slaughtered for food?! Ugh!!!

    1. This whole fiasco is being promoted by those with an agenda of trying to force everyone to become a vegan. Of course they promote this agenda using other peoples money while claiming non-profit status. I think I will start my own non-profit and collect donations to promote eating only Soylent Green while I pay myself a handsome salary from the donations.

    2. Why not? At least there they get to see what they know what they are eating. By the way, you pick the college for your kids? If so I doubt they're smart enough to get accepted there anyhow.

    4. So it is okay for you to knock the college, but if something is said about you it's not okay. I guess you're not living in a glass house are you. I'm sending all my kids to that college and also the three bison i have, bison are much tastier.

  3. Good. You need to send your kids to some liberal arts college where they can learn to live off the public dole (assistance) gravy train. Green Mountain College is all about teaching students to learn a trade and becoming self-sufficient. No clowns or free-loaders allowed!

  5. BRAISED OXEN CHEEK AND BEER CASSEROLE

    For 6-8 servings:

    about 5 lbs oxen cheeks

    1/4 cup plain flour

    1-2 Tbsp oil

    4 cloves garlic, chopped

    1/4 cup tomato paste

    1/2 cup tomato sauce

1 1/2 cups fresh or flat beer or stout

    4 tsp dark soy sauce

    2-3 bay leaves (optional)

Cut each ox cheek into several slices and place on a sheet of baking paper. Sprinkle the meat with the flour, turning the pieces so they are evenly coated.

Brown the floured slices on both sides in a large frypan containing just enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. While the meat browns, coat the inside of the bowl of a large slow cooker with non-stick spray. Cut the browned meat into bite-size pieces and put in the slow cooker.

Add the remaining ingredients to the cooker and stir to mix. Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on high.
