20th annual Festival of Trees

Come out this Friday evening and enjoy the Springfield Garden Club's 20th annual Festival of Trees, "A Homecoming Christmas".

FESTIVAL of the TREES is the Garden Club's major fundraiser each year. This year it is being held November 16th at the The Crown Point Country Club from 6 to 8 p.m.

Come for the hors d'oeuvres, wine, cider and the music, as well as the raffle and the silent auction.

The garden club members put a tremendous amount of effort into decorating for the event and creating items for sale and also arranging for wonderful donations from local individuals and businesses for their silent auction and raffle.

One of the big programs funded by this event is the support that the club is able to offer to local students who are studying in fields of horticulture, forestry, conservation, environmental studies or related fields. The Springfield Garden Club awards two scholarships a year - totaling $4,000 a year.
