A man trying to evade police crashed his car into a building while attempting to turn off Clinton Street at high speed.
On Saturday June 15th, at approximately 9:30 pm, a man trying to evade the Springfield Police at high speed, attempted to turn from Clinton street onto Seavers Brook Rd. He was unable to make the turn, and instead drove right though the front door of Great Northern Liquidation, which is located in the big red building on the corner. The front of the car came to a stop about 16 feet inside. The engine continued to rev, while the driver jumped out and tried to run away by running further into the building. Scott Adnams and Rick Young, who were working in the building, saw the car crash though the front door, and attempted to stop the driver. However, he managed to escape through the opposite end of the building, and run up a steep hill. The police followed him up the hill, and eventually caught him.
