Corey Nystrom scored twice in the second half to tie it, both goals assisted by Owen Beattie. Jake Sheman also scored for the 2-5-1 Rebels. Peter Kendall, Zach Quimby and Devin Brady had scores for the 2-6-2 Cosmos, who got some outstanding goaltending from Jon Hildreth in the extra session; Hildreth made one flat-out diving save to deny the Rebels a golden goal. Hildreth had 15 saves to seven for the Rebels’ Nick Morrow. On Thursday, the Rebels visit a Green Mountain Union team that came into this week’s play ranked first among Division III teams statewide. “That should be a good test to see where we’re at,” Barton said.
