SPRINGFIELD — On Thursday, April 10, Elm Hill School had their Annual Arts Night, which was produced by art teacher, Suzanne Farrell, music teacher, Andie Bentley and school librarian, Cynthia Hughes. The event was well attended and featured a musical performance by the second grade and poetry readings by several students. Afterward, students and families roamed the school hallways while they viewed the artwork that the young artists produced throughout the school year. Brightly painted cityscapes, flowers, insects, wild turkeys, murals and more were hung-up on the walls for all to see. Arts Night at Elm Hill School is a celebration of the arts and a chance for students to share their artwork with their families and the community. Arts education programs provide students with 21st century skills, which include, problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and the use of technology. In addition, the arts provide a healthy outlet for creative expression. The art show will continue through the middle of May. Elm Hill School holds annual Arts Night
