SAPA TV hosting Christmas movies marathon

SAPA TV, Springfield’s public access TV station, will run 24 hours of Christmas movies and short subjects from 8 p.m. Christmas Eve to 8 p.m. Christmas Day. Includes 1964’s “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,” the 1959 Mexican production “Santa Claus,” and a host of classic cartoons, all of which have entered the public domain.

40th Annual 'Beyond the Unicorn' Christmas Craft Fair

It’s the largest one ever! With over 100 booths this year, this event promises to host some of the most talented crafters and artisans from all over New England, New Jersey, and New York. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. at the Riverside Middle School on Route 11 West in Springfield.

Students participating in a new vocational arts program at the Vermont Adult Learning (VAL) center here are learning skills such as digital photography, and may be able to visit actual artists studios in January.

“Wonderettes“ return to Springfield Players stage

The Springfield Players are presenting a delightful production of Roger Bean’s nostalgic collection of popular ‘60s and ‘70s songs woven into the stories of a high school singing group “The Marvelous Wonderettes: Dream On” through this weekend at the Players Studio Theater in Springfield.

Moxley Union getting closer


Springfield's best rock band has only been invited to play publicly in Springfield once. That was back when they first started out 5 years ago. Popular in places like Windsor, Claremont and Hartland, they are making their 2nd appearance at Sumner House in Charlestown this Saturday the 3rd at 8 pm. Video is from their first time there this past August.
