The latest on the investigation with four now having been arrested.

UPDATE - Arrests following Springfield Shooting which occurred on June 11, 2014

Defendant: Joseph Atkinson

(DOB 08/14/94)

Address: Springfield, Vermont

On June 18, 2014, State Police Detectives issued Atkinson a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division, on August 12, 1014 to answer to the charge of Felony possession of heroin and Misdemeanor possession of cocaine. Atkinson was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine immediately following the shooting which occurred in Springfield, Vermont on June 11, 2014.



Defendant: Leon Jiggetts

(DOB 08/30/87)

Address: Newark, New Jersey

On June 22, 2014, State Police Detectives issued Jiggetts a citation to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division, on July 22, 2014 to answer to the charge of Felony Obstruction of Justice. On June 16, 2014, while lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility, Jiggetts while being held without bail for his initial charge of Attempted Second Degree Murder, attempted to make contact with a Co-Defendant in an attempt to change the Co-Defendant's testimony regarding his charges related to the Springfield Shooting.



Defendant: Brandon Adams-Smith

(DOB 11/29/97)

Address: Chester, Vermont

On June 26, 2014, State Police Detectives arrested Brandon Adams-Smith while at a residence located in Chester, Vermont. He was transported and processed at the Rockingham State Police Barracks. He was later lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail. The Honorable Karen Carroll ordered Adams-Smith to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division on June 27, 2014 where he will be arraigned as an adult to answer to the crimes of Felony Aggravated Assault, Felony Burglary and False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer. These charges are directly related to his involvement in the Springfield shooting which occurred on June 11, 2014.



Defendant: Alexander Jillson-Corbosiero

(DOB 01/17/96)

Address: Springfield, Vermont

On June 26, 2014, State Police Detectives arrested Alexander Jillson-Corbosiero while on Main Street in the Town of Springfield, Vermont. He was transported and processed at the Rockingham State Police Barracks. He was later lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail. The Honorable Karen Carroll ordered Alexander Jillson-Corbosiero to appear in Windsor Superior Court Criminal Division on June 27, 2014 to answer to answer to the crimes of Larceny, Felony Accessory after the Fact and Aiding in the Commission of a Felony. These charges are directly related to his involvement in the Springfield shooting which occurred on June 11, 2014.



This investigation remains open and active.
